Trinity University is postponing the start of spring classes because of the surge in coronavirus cases due to the omicron variant. University officials posted a notification to the school's website on Wednesday indicating the spring semester will start on January 31st. Trinity so far seems to be the first San Antonio university to delay the semester. UTSA still plans to start classes on January 18th. But St. Mary's, Our Lady of the Lake, Incarnate Word, and Alamo Colleges are monitoring the surge and may postpone the start of classes.
