The air traffic control tower on the west side of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is back in operation today. On Wednesday afternoon, the Federal Aviation Administration temporarily closed the tower because of a staffing shortage resulting from several health and safety factors, including the coronavirus. All traffic was routed to the east side of the airport, and the FAA put a ground stop in effect, temporarily halting all flights to DFW from other airports. The FAA says arrivals and departures are resuming today at a reduced rate.
