Texas Lawyer Who Argued Roe V. Wade Before Supreme Court Dies

A lawyer who argued the landmark abortion rights case Roe v. Wade before the Supreme Court is dead. Sarah Weddington died in her sleep early Sunday morning. She was 76-years-old. Weddington argued the abortion case when she was 26-years old. She served in the Texas statehouse, was an adviser on women's issues to former President Jimmy Carter and taught courses at two Texas universities on leadership, law, and gender discrimination.
