State health officials say more Texans are responding to the omicron variant by getting booster shots than by getting their first doses. The average number of Texas residents getting boosters every day has outpaced those getting their first shots since late September. So far this month, more than a million Texans have received booster shots, nearly three-times as many people as received first doses of the vaccine over the same period.
