Bexar County commissioners are taking steps to deal with a backlog in domestic violence cases. The commissioners on Tuesday approved more than $3 million in funding for the courts to handle the growing problem. More than 2/3 of the money went to the criminal courts, which are dealing with a logjam of misdemeanor family violence cases. Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff had called the emergency special session to approve the needed funds.
