Justin Verlander's return to Houston has reportedly been finalized. The 38-year-old ace had his two-year deal with the Astros approved by Major League Baseball after the league and the Players' Association worked through the final approval of the contract. Since it was signed before the collective bargaining agreement expired on December 1st, it is now in effect. Verlander is on track to pitch next season after undergoing Tommy John surgery at the end of September 2020 and will earn 50 million dollars over the course of the deal.
