A suspect is in custody for an October shooting that killed a Harris County deputy and wounded two others. Precinct 4 Deputies Kareem Atkins, Juqaim Barthen and Darrell Garret were responding to a reported robbery outside the 45 Norte Bar and Lounge when the suspect reportedly ambushed them. Atkins was killed, and the other two deputies were wounded. Houston police and Fort Bend County deputies arrested the suspect, whose name hasn't been released. HPD will give more details in a news conference today.
