University Health is looking for cases of the omicron variant in San Antonio. The hospital has been sending off positive coronavirus samples to UT Health for sequencing ever since March. The samples come from University Health's clinics, the Wonderland screening center, and the adult and juvenile jails. So far, more than 13-hundred samples have been sequenced, and the omicron variant hasn't been found in any of them. Health officials say the main variant present in Bexar [[ bear ]] County is still delta.
