Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert wants to be the state's next Attorney General. Gohmert declared his candidacy yesterday, joining a crowded GOP primary field that includes incumbent AG Ken Paxton and Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush. Earlier this month Gohmert announced he would enter the race if he could raise a million dollars in ten days, and confirmed that his campaign reached that goal. Gohmert, who filed a lawsuit last year looking to overturn President Biden's victory, said election integrity would be a priority.
