A San Antonio police officer is suspended without pay following his arrest on Thursday for lying on a police report. A Bexar County grand jury indicted Officer Morgan Lucas on Tuesday on one count of tampering with a government record. An internal investigation had found that Lucas had falsely claimed that he and his partner hadn't pursued a suspect's vehicle that ran into a police car during a chase in 2019. If he's convicted of the misdemeanor charge, Lucas could do a year in jail and be fined up to four-thousand-dollars.
