Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is accusing the White House of “coming after Texas” following a suit over an elections bill. Paxton posted on social media he believes SB 1 makes sure the state has safe, secure, and transparent elections. He also posted he looks forward to seeing the federal government in court. The Justice Department sued Texas today accusing SB 1 of violating the Voting Rights and Civil Rights acts.
