The San Antonio ISD is taking steps to get the coronavirus vaccine to its students ages five to 11 as soon as possible. The district is teaming up with South Texas Allergy & Asthma Medical Professionals, or STAAMP, to get the kids vaccinated. STAAMP says the district's first order of five-thousand doses of the pediatric vaccine has already been placed and approved. They say parents must register their kids through the school system. STAAMP plans to set up eight mobile clinics to distribute the shots, starting as soon as next week.
