Police are investigating after a woman reportedly shot and wounded a man outside a Northwest Side apartment complex. Officers responded about 3 p.m. Tuesday to the Gardenwood Apartments on Gardenia Street near Vance Jackson. The 45-year-old man was working on a car when the woman in her 20s approached him from behind and shot him in the leg and abdomen. As the man tried to hide under the car, the woman drove off in another vehicle. Police don't know what relationship exists between the two. The man is in the hospital and isn't cooperating with the investigation.
