Texas Parks and Wildlife is temporarily banning flounder fishing. The state agency says there has been a decline in the overall population of flounder in Texas. The ban begins today and runs through December 15th, a period that will carry the fish through their typical spawning season. TPWD officials hope the temporary ban will help more fish survive what is normally a peak time for flounder fishing in Texas.
