Dallas-based Southwest Airlines is sending travel vouchers to passengers who were left stranded over several days of flight cancellations. Hundreds of Southwest flights were canceled starting late last week, with the airline blaming bad weather and air traffic control issues.
Now some customers say they're getting apologies from Southwest along with travel vouchers worth $250. The vouchers are in addition to the refunds or flight credits that airlines are required to pay passengers for canceled flights. Many customers who received vouchers reportedly got them by appealing to Southwest on Twitter.
