Southwest Airlines is apologizing to travelers and employees over a series of flight cancellations and delays. The Dallas-based air carrier says the issues started Friday night when weather and “other external constraints” started disrupting its pre-planned schedule for the weekend. Southwest promises it's been working on fixing the issues noting fewer scuttled or postponed flights were reported today, although hundreds were still canceled. It's hoping the full schedule will restart soon and customers will give them another chance. Both Southwest and the union representing pilots have denied a sickout happened in protest of the company's coronavirus vaccine mandate policy.
