Southwest Airlines is trying to help San Antonio International Airport continue its recovery from the pandemic. The Dallas-based airline is the leading carrier in San Antonio, accounting for 39% of all local air traffic. Southwest's flight volume in San Antonio last year dropped from more than 40 a day to 15. Southwest officials are meeting with corporate leaders in San Antonio this week to discuss business travel. Meanwhile, airport leaders are working on a development plan that includes runway and terminal expansions.
