The Carolina Panthers are showing they are a team to be reckoned with. Sam Darnold rushed for two touchdowns to lead Carolina to 24-9 win over the Texans on Thursday Night Football in Houston. Darnold was also impressive with his arm, completing 23-of-34 passes for 304 yards. Not all was great for the Panthers as running back Christian McCaffrey exited in the first half and was quickly ruled out with a hamstring injury. Carolina moved to 3-and-oh with the victory. Rookie Davis Mills had a decent outing in his first start under center for Houston, which fell to 1-and-2. The quarterback completed 19-of-28 passes and threw for a score. Brandin Cooks had another strong game, totaling 112 yards on nine receptions.
