Texas Democrats are waiting for Beto O'Rourke to say whether or not he plans to run for governor next year. If O'Rourke runs, 2022 will be his third straight election cycle as a candidate, after his failed runs for the U.S. Senate in 2018 and for the White House last year. O'Rourke opposed the GOP-backed election integrity bill, raising money to support Texas Democrats who fled the state to obstruct a vote on the bill. Media reports say he may be close to making a decision about whether he'll challenge Gov. Greg Abbott next year.
