The city and county of El Paso are the first in the state to achieve herd immunity with COVID-19. So says Doctor Hector Ocaranza, city and county health authority. Yesterday he and Emergency Management chief Jorge Rodriguez made the announcement at the county commissioners meeting. Doctor Ocaranza says the city and county are 75-percent fully vaccinated which he equated with herd immunity. He also said those who still aren't vaccinated should do so and wear masks until they do.
