The Browns earned their first victory of the year after a 31-21 win over the Texans in Cleveland. Baker Mayfield completed 19-of-21 passes for 213 yards. He also threw for a touchdown and an interception, and ran for a touchdown. The Browns lost Jarvis Landry on their second offensive play of the game. Landry's streak of consecutive games with two receptions ends at 111. Former Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor started under center for the Texans before leaving the game with a hamstring injury. Davis Mills came into the game in relief of Taylor and threw for 102 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Nick Chubb led the game in rushing with 95 yards and a touchdown. Brandin Cooks caught nine passes for 78 yards and a score. Cleveland and Houston are now 1-and-1 heading into Week Three.
