Two women are in custody on suspicion of killing an elderly relative. Jourdanton Police conducting a welfare check on Wednesday found the body of 75-year-old Diane Carpenter in her home. She had been stabbed to death at least a week earlier. They spoke to Carpenter's daughter, 49-year-old Roberta Carpenter, and Carpenter's granddaughter, 25-year-old Marlena Jaramillo, who both also lived at the house. Jaramillo reportedly admitted to the stabbing and was arrested for murder. Roberta Carpenter reportedly knew about the murder but didn't report it. She's charged with tampering with evidence.
