A Bexar County deputy is on administrative leave after a man was shot and killed for reportedly shooting at the deputy. Sheriff Javier Salazar says the shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on I-35 at Hormel Drive. A deputy pulled over a car with a man in his 20s and three women inside. The man reportedly bailed out and ran away, and a second deputy pursued him. Sheriff Salazar says the man fired a shot at the deputy, who returned fire. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies found his handgun. The three women were detained but haven't been charged with anything.
