Uber and Lyft are creating a legal defense fund for drivers over Texas' new abortion law. The new law, which went into effect last week, gives citizens the right to file civil lawsuits against anyone aiding an abortion in the state, including those who transport women to clinics. Lyft CEO Logan Green promises the fund will cover all legal fees for drivers sued under the law while working for the ride-sharing company. Uber's CEO tweeted that is drivers' legal fees will also be covered.
