The AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Texas is $2.82 a gallon for regular unleaded. That price is up three-cents from a week ago and is 91-cents more than a year ago. The national average is $3.18. The effects of Hurricane Ida may bring temporary gas price volatility to many Texas drivers through the Labor Day weekend, but it shouldn't last long. The average price at the pump in San Antonio is $2.70.
