After months of battling, the Texas House is passing a Republican-backed election overhaul bill. The bill passed today mostly on party lines with one Republican no vote. It seeks to roll back much of the expansion made to elections during COVID and secure elections. But Democrats argue it amounts to voter suppression. It now goes to the State Senate where it will face little opposition, and then the Governor's desk for his signature.
