Texas A&M football is naming its starting quarterback for this season. Redshirt freshman Haynes King has earned the job, fending off competition from sophomore Zach Calzada. Jimbo Fisher announced the decision Wednesday as the Aggies prepare to start their season against Kent State on September 4th. The 6-foot-3, 200 pound quarterback is from Longview and was ranked as the 46th overall recruit in 2020 by ESPN.
