The Biden administration says Afghan refugees won't be flown into Joint Base San Antonio. There are four military facilities nationwide that will temporarily house about 25-thousand Afghan refugees. Only one of the four is in Texas, and that's Fort Bliss in El Paso. The Center for Refugee Services, a local nonprofit that helps refugees who legally resettle in San Antonio, is gearing up for however many Afghan refugees make their way to the city. They don't know how many to expect, or when.
