A former Bexar County deputy is under arrest for using unnecessary force on an inmate late last year. Deputies arrested 42-year-old Jaime Soto on Monday on a charge of official oppression. Soto was assigned to booking when a supervisor reportedly saw him on surveillance video knocking an inmate to the floor for no apparent reason last December. Soto was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation. In June, Internal Affairs recommended Soto's dismissal. He resigned several days later.
