A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot while sitting in the drive-thru lane of a Taco Bell. Police say the shooting happened shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday at the restaurant on Potranco Road near East Loop 1604. The victim was placing his order when somebody pulled up alongside him, had words with him, and shot him twice in the torso. The man is in stable condition at University Hospital. His name hasn't been released. Police plan to study surveillance video from the restaurant to try to get a look at the suspect.
