Metro Health leaders are encouraging San Antonio residents to get their coronavirus vaccines. Metro Health Director Claude Jacob refers to the latest surge as a "pandemic of the unvaccinated," since most of the people testing positive for the virus haven't had their shots. Jacob says the city's positivity rate this week is nearly 17-percent, an improvement over last week, when it was more than 21-percent. He says nearly 66-percent of the eligible local population has been fully vaccinated.
