Flooding Inside Texas Capitol From Heavy Rains In Austin

Heavy rains caused flooding in parts of Austin yesterday, including inside the State Capitol. Video taken inside the capitol showed water leaking from the ceiling onto several hallways. In a statement, the State Preservation Board said the flooding was caused by a clogged storm drain, but looks to be contained to the hallways. The Board added that crews will work throughout the evening to minimize disruptions to the special legislative session.
