For the first time ever, San Antonio's annual budget tops $3 billion. City Manager Erik Walsh says the $3.1 billion proposal for fiscal 2022 restores city services to pre-pandemic levels. The main sections of the proposal are the General Fund, which covers the police, fire, streets and parks; the Restricted Funds, for the airport, development services, and solid waste; and the Capital Budget. Several town hall meetings are planned for August and September to allow the public to sound off about the proposal.
