Northside ISD officials say they won't enforce a county-wide mask mandate that was issued on Tuesday. A Northside spokesperson says the district will encourage students, staff, and visitors to wear masks, but won't require them to do so. Classes in the district start on August 23rd, and officials say they'll keep an eye on the situation and let the public know if their decision changes. Northside is the largest school district in the San Antonio area. Some local districts are following the county's new mandate and others aren't.
