The trillion-dollar infrastructure bill passed in the Senate with bipartisan support yesterday, but the two members from Texas did not approve. Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn were among the 30 Republicans that voted against the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Both Texas senators said the legislation will add too much to the national debt, with Cruz calling it "reckless." Texas is expected to get more than 30 billion dollars for improvements to roads, public transportation, and broadband internet. The bill is anticipated to pass through the House and head to President Biden's desk.
