A kidnapping suspect is dead following a chase in Guadalupe County. Deputies in Guadalupe County responded to an alert of a possible kidnapping out of Travis County yesterday involving a pickup truck, which the deputies spotted on I-10 near Highway 130 in Seguin. In a statement, Sheriff Arnold Zwicke said the driver was stopped but shot at the deputies who returned fire. The driver was hit and died at the scene. A second person in the truck was not hurt nor were any deputies. Sheriff Zwicke says details about what happened will be provided following a Texas Rangers investigation.
