Texas House Democrats are declaring victory as the first special session ends. Grand Prairie Representative Chris Turner told reporters in Washington, DC today the Democratic caucus' ability to prevent a quorum means an elections bill will die. Turner promises to keep fighting against the bill calling it voter suppression based on former President Donald Trump's "big lie" about last year's election. He also expressed confidence Congress would soon pass legislation on voting rights. The Texas Legislature will start another special session tomorrow.
