San Antonio health officials say the latest surge in COVID-19 cases has pushed local hospitals to their limits. UT Health San Antonio officials say they're seeing a doubling of the hospitalization rate every ten days. Over the last month, five-percent of the hospitalizations have been vaccinated people. The rest cannot be vaccinated or have chosen not to be vaccinated. Regardless of whether people get the vaccine, officials say everyone needs to wear a mask to help mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
