It took a heroic effort from two American soccer icons as the U.S. topped Australia 4-3 in the bronze medal game at the 2020 Games. Megan Rapinoe and Carly Lloyd each scored a pair as the United States took home their first women's soccer medal since 2012. The U.S. led 4-1 after the 51st minute, but two second-half goals by the Matildas put late pressure on the Americans to see out the game. Canada and Sweden, the two teams to beat the United States in Tokyo, will face off for the Gold Medal.
