San Antonio Pandemic Threat Level Raised To Severe And Worsening

The pandemic risk level in San Antonio is now listed as severe. A city spokeswoman says the threat level increased from low to mild on July 6th, then went to moderate three-weeks later. The current severe level is also said to be worsening. City officials made the change based on the increases in the average case rate, positivity rate, hospitalization trends, and hospital stress. San Antonio and other parts of the country are seeing increased levels largely because of the highly contagious Delta variant.
