South Texas Congressman Henry Cuellar is calling on President Biden to appoint a "czar" to coordinate efforts at the southern border. The Laredo Democrat joined Republican Senator Lindsey Graham last week to call for a change in oversight due to a huge increase in illegal border crossings since Biden took office. Border agents recorded more than 188,000 encounters in June, a 20-year high. Both Cuellar and Graham support the idea of bringing in former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson to oversee border issues.
