The punishment phase continues this morning in the capital murder trial of Otis McKane. A San Antonio jury convicted McKane last week of killing San Antonio Police Detective Benjamin Marconi in 2016. On Wednesday, the judge recessed the trial until today because of a dispute over McKane's cell phone records, which the prosecution wanted to show to the jury. The defense claimed they'd been given a faulty DVD of the cell phone evidence and hadn't been able to review it. McKane could get the death penalty.
