An ESPN report says the Buffalo Bills are considering Austin as their possible new home. The team is in negotiations for a new stadium, and is reportedly using the threat of relocating to Austin or another city as a bargaining chip. Gov. Greg Abbott acknowledged his awareness of the possibility in a tweet, but didn't say what he thinks about it. Austin Mayor Steve Adler tweeted, "I don’t comment on such rumors, but it’s fun to think about what the Buffalo Bills new name might be — Austin Amps? Austin Beat? What do you think?"

The Bills' ownership is seeking approval for a taxpayer-funded stadium, costing more than a billion-dollars, in Orchard Park.
