A man is shot by a Comal County deputy after trying to run them over with his vehicle following a high-speed chase across county lines. The incident started in New Braunfels when a deputy pulled over the driver for a traffic violation. The man took off in his car, nearly striking the officer and a high-speed chase began. The man turned into a parking lot of the VIA terminal, came to a dead-end, and then started ramming his vehicle toward the Comal deputies marked vehicles. Cops say the man tried to run over the deputies, forcing the deputy and a Comal County Constable to fire at him. The man stopped his vehicle after being shot in his left and right arms.
