The AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Texas is $2.83 a gallon for regular unleaded. That price is down one-cent from a week ago, and is 93-cents more than a year ago. The national average is $3.17. Crude oil prices are still high, but demand for gas is low for a summer season, keeping prices stable. The average price at the pump in San Antonio is $2.74.
