Congresswoman Jackson Lee Arrested In DC March For Voting Rights Bill

A Democratic congresswoman from Houston says she was engaging in "civil disobedience" when she was arrested in Washington, DC, on Thursday. Sheila Jackson Lee was arrested while participating in a march in support of expanded voting rights. Jackson Lee was one of several demonstrators with the Black Women Leaders and Allies group calling on Congress to pass the For the People Act. She posted a photo on Twitter showing her being escorted by a police officer with her wrists zip-tied together.
