Two women are recovering in the hospital after two men reportedly shot them in an apartment in Converse. Police responded about 5:30 p.m. to the reported shooting on Kitty Hawk Road near Toepperwein Road. They found two women who had been shot but were conscious. They were taken to the Brooke Army Medical Center. Investigators found that two armed men had forced their way into the apartment and shot the women. The suspects are on the loose, and their motive isn't known.
