The Mariners have traded Kendall Graveman to the Astros. Seattle also sent over reliever Rafael Montero to Houston in exchange for third baseman Abraham Toro and reliever Joe Smith. Graveman is the most notable player in the trade and had posted a 0.82 ERA and a 0.70 WHIP this season with the Mariners. Seattle GM Jerry Dipoto said in a press conference that the Mariners are looking to make corresponding trades to go with the seemingly-odd Graveman transaction.
