A San Antonio jury has found a man guilty of capital murder in the ambush killing of a police detective. Otis McKane was accused of shooting Detective Benjamin Marconi twice as he sat in a patrol car, near police headquarters in 2016. Prosecutors say he was upset over a child custody dispute, and lashed out at the first officer he saw. Following the guilty verdict, McKane got into a scuffle with a bailiff in the courtroom. No one was injured. With the conviction, McKane faces the death penalty. The sentencing phase in the case will begin tomorrow.
