The annual convention of the Texas High School Coaches Association wraps up in San Antonio today. The convention drew a record attendance of nearly 14-thousand coaches and administrators to town, where they occupied hotel rooms and ate at restaurants. San Antonio's hospitality industry suffered more than 300 event cancellations last year during the pandemic, losing nearly half-a-billion dollars in revenue. An executive with Visit San Antonio says the convention's attendance is an encouraging sign of recovery.
